Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Your privacy is the entire point of stmtify. This policy explains what data we do — and do not — collect when you use the Service.
Your statements never leave your device
stmtify converts your bank-statement PDFs into Excel and CSV files entirely within your web browser. The files you select are read, parsed, and converted locally on your own computer or phone. They are never uploaded to our servers, transmitted over the internet, or stored by us. When you close the browser tab, the document and its extracted data are gone from memory. We have no way to access, recover, or view the contents of your statements.
Information we do not collect
- The contents of your bank statements or the spreadsheets you generate.
- Account numbers, balances, transactions, or any financial data.
- Your name, email, or other personal identifiers — no account or sign-up is required.
Information that may be collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics infrastructure may automatically log basic, non-identifying technical information when you visit — such as your browser type, device type, approximate region, and pages viewed. This is used only to keep the site running and to understand aggregate usage. It does not include the contents of any document you process.
Cookies & local storage
The Service can function without tracking cookies. Any browser storage used is limited to remembering preferences (such as your chosen language) and is kept on your device. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
Third-party services
For scanned documents, optical character recognition runs in your browser using the Tesseract.js library, which may load its language models and software components from a public content-delivery network (CDN) the first time it is used. These resources are generic software files; your document is notsent to the CDN — only your browser’s request for the software is made. We do not sell or share any personal information with third parties.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal or financial data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you have questions about your privacy, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
